Took some new photos of the 142 last month after some cleaning and detailing. I struggled with the light but after playing with the settings they turned out to be good enough.
Also fitted electrical ignition and got properly adjusted since last time, so now it runs super-smooth. Can’t wait to daily-drive it this summer. Should have time to write an Oppositelock review as well.

Beautiful shots of an amazing car that I have literally never seen in the States. Where were these pics taken? I could make a few guesses (somewhere along the Danube?) but I'd love to know for sure.

Such a timeless design. Kind of an odd color, but it works so well on this car.

Thanks! The photos were taken in Gjøvik, Norway and the lake in the background is Mjøsa.

Ahhh...a lake. Looked like a giant river! Amazing setting.

50 year old design! The colour is very correct for a car of this age, even if the dark blue, green or red contributes more to the timeless appeal.

With an average depth of 150 m and an area of 360 sq. Km it would have been a giant river for sure!

Those are great shots, of an equally great car.
A bit of a shame of those date stamps, though...

Good guess, but that’s a very Norwegian setting.
Fjords? Tick
Hills? Tick
Coniferous trees? Tick
Grey cloud overhead? Tick

Norway is not a country noted for a dry climate. How did it survive so long without disappearing in a pile of rust?

Hahaha, the grey cloud should have given it away for me. I recognize the really tall fjords all day long, but for some reason this had a Central European vibe to me. But yeah, the trees are definitely native to a higher latitude and/or altitude.

Norway is a large country, and while the western part is wet and salty the eastern part where I live is rather dry.
It also had the rear wheelarches replaced before it was repainted around 15 years ago.

Thanks!
Not sure how I remove them on the camera (not mine), and they don’t bother me that much to make me find out.

Thanks! Very happy that I got this body style, I think only the 145 Express is more sought after.
